Rent Giant Games: Giant Jenga and More
Bonkers owner, Dani Vachon, has thrown hundreds of parties and events in her 18 years of event planning, and nothing gets the party started more quickly or more effectively than games. “I’ve tried traditional ice-breakers and other party supplies, and honestly… a giant Jenga will get people so excited! They can hold their beer while playing the game, drop in and out of the game easily, and chat while the game is in play… it’s perfect!”
Rent Tickle Trunks: A Costume Party In A Box
Bonkers launched November 2014, has had the pleasure of renting their giant games and tickle trunks to a variety of corporate events and festivals: Van Startup Weekend after party, the Nettwerk Records Christmas staff party, SFU’s Frosh Week, Habitat For Humanity and many many more. Additionally, the games have been rented for several private parties such as holiday parties and birthday parties. In each case, the customers were thrilled with the results of renting the giant games and our costume trunks! Certainly Giant Jenga was the highlight of the Van Startup Weekend after party with swaths of people gathered around it for the duration of the party. People were laughing, high-fiving and biting their nails in suspense.
“I think games and costumes help to disarm people, make them more comfortable, and put them at ease,” says Vachon, “and once they’re at ease it becomes so much easier to network and really let loose and have a good time.”
Vachon once was a part of the launch and marketing of local venue Guilt & Co. One of her marketing tactics was to have a giant Jenga built for a small area behind the stage. “The results were incredible!” she remarks, “people would come running up to the door and say, ‘Is this is the place with the giant Jenga!?’ and when we said yes and point toward the play area, they would run back there and start playing right away. What’s more, they took photos and posted them to social media, spreading the word about our party venue like wildfire!”
